As an artist I try to make people think unconditionally by creating an entity. I play with my work to create a subtle vibrance around me, and I get immersed in it which enables me to breathe a sigh of respite.
Some of my paintings are characterized by generous washes in the background rendering a subtle environment on which I then add colors and sometimes texts. My drawings and paintings are done in responses to the layers created, thus having a continuous conversation with my work.
I try juxtaposing my fantasies with the real world environments. I project certain elements from miniature paintings along-with my observation of nature, people and surroundings. A lot of aspects of miniature tradition appeals to me like the linear quality, the distribution of colors, the richness of tones and the naturalism. Even the designs and patterns of this traditional art inspires me to quote them in my work.
The subject of my works mainly revolves around the everyday situations, experiences and emotions I face and live. The various instances of life and the reaction towards it such as solitude, harmony, celebration, etc.. Nature and my immediate surrounding appeals to me, thus playing an important role in my compositions.
In this canvas, the entire concept revolves around the energy we derive from the power of meditation. The aura one creates through meditation is something people worship in many cultures of the world. In our meditation, we rely back to the basic elements of Earth -‘Dharti, Agni, Vaayu, Jal, Akash’. These are the visual images that are supporting my central figure, with some Sufi Saints dancing around and celebrating this wonderful experience.
The paper works are extension of this concept in a more personal level. The everyday circumstances we live in and how we connect with the meditative self. Certain elements that helps us in connecting with The Supreme Being through mediation is present in the paper works such as a Lotus or Swastika.

My work is characterized by multiple layers of washes, paints and scratching. There is a certain level of spontaneity in my works, where it remains undecided about the process. With my constant indulgence into the work, my process of creating an artwork becomes an art all by itself.
The various marks and lines are done with multiple mediums such as needle, brushes, fingers, nails, knife, crayons, etc..
The content of these works revolves around the feminine aspect of our being and the religious sentiments attached with it such as lotuses. The canvas portrays a female figure in a semi-abstract state holding a lotus. The protagonist of this composition is getting merged with an elephant trunk from the top indicating the presence of Lord Ganesha. The various marks and planes in the background gives it a rich and religious look.
The paper-works are done in a wash background consisting of coffee, over it, it is developed in two very different ways. On one work we see the bloom lotus-buds from a lotus pond with a shine reflection of the celestial body on it. And on the second one we observe the abstract approach of our inner prayers with various emotions running through it in the form of different colors.

My works of art are portrayal of our socio-political economy and sarcastically represents the two – facedness of our society.
When we are talking about the metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta , etc; an imagery of skyscrapers, towers, motor vehicles ,metro, and a life full of luxuries  immediately arises in our mind, but this is only one side of the coin,  the actual image of these cities is way much different from the widely visible imagery. This body of work is an effort to portray the other side of the coin.
These compositions sarcastically question the so-called urbanization of our country, in a way to raise queries like; are we really developing? Is this a development?

Title –Creation,
Mighty creator/ Prajapati  has created the beautiful  nature with all its Sun ,Moon, Trees ,Rivers etc . but on the name of urbanization we human are destroying all of them and covering the green of nature with our grays and black .

Title –Urban Lotus,
In the Hindu religion ,the lotus is used to represent divine beauty and purity of body mind and spirit ,while the unfolding of its leaves represents the expanding of the soul and spiritual awakening but in today’s competitive urban world all of these are just imagination my work represent’s the same

The Lord Siva
The Siva Concept denotes power of supremacy. Siva is the “destroyer of the evil and the transformer”.  He is the Supreme Being. Shaivism is one of the major traditions within contemporary Hinduism.
Now-a-days life has become very complicated. We do not acknowledge humanity. So our attitudes are going towards undisciplined destination. So we are in need of a supreme power, who would give rebirth to humanity and annihilate.

My creative journey owes majorly to the reminiscences of traditional and historical elements. These find an individualistic approach in my work of art, which is reflective of my felt experiences of museums, forts and heritage sites, especially of my native place of Madhya Pradesh. Being a rich and resplendent repository of cultural heritage of India, the constructed marvels of forts and palaces have encouraged my ingenious experimentation. Further the impressions and memories of these places find their reflections in the subjects chosen for my creative pursuits.
The sketched and painted surfaces are illuminated further with reproduced photographs, layered with coloured surfaces in varied hues. The architectural heritage in its conformity forms the background of the visuals, which are superimposed with multifaceted elements highlighting the felt experiences by me over the years. The impressions of the visuals created on silver bromide paper are also experimented with multi- layered surfaces with photo colours, accentuating the orchestral harmony of the forms. The visuals of this genre reconstitute an overall form with transparency and layered images forming the creative expression.
My visual language as an artist does not merely reflect reproduction of what I see but the visual journey takes elemental arrangement with felt experiences. The thought processes amalgamate a pictorial imagery transformed through architectural and human forms interspersed with nature at certain points. My creative pursuits are an expression of self-thoughts emanating from life experiences, exposure to personal quest analysed through diverse visual practises. Thoughts are always compelling and are quite often rendered with divergent meanings. The application of assorted mediums in my work of art is reflective of an interpretation of collective ideas and images forming an inherent appeal.
The present focus of work is predominantly a depiction of unruffled memories and imagery, overlapped images in miniature recalling body paint of contemporary time reinterpreted in some of my watercolours as well is an individualistic approach through application of appropriate medium. The cultural diversity encourages me towards a multi dimensional approach to represent the felt experiences in my creative endeavours. The cultural milieu of India and its various facets possess a rejuvenating excellence, which always establishes an unparallel inspiration in my creative journey.
